OVERVIEW

Navmatic Vision is an AI-powered solution for both vision-based and time-based sensors optimized for the best performance per watt to detect riding surface. Sidewalk detection in micromobility is emerging as an increasingly important technology. Shared micromobility vehicles are not meant to be driven on the sidewalk, yet many riders do not understand their provincial regulations or ignore them due to a lack of enforcement. In many cases, this causes avoidable accidents where both pedestrians and scooter riders collide. 

Sidewalk detection technology is critical for scooter providers to limit the potential dangers of micromobility vehicles on sidewalks. With Navmatic Vision, we are solving this complex problem with an understanding that a solution in that space must constrain the power consumption of the solution. By leveraging our deep understanding of Edge-based ML for both computer vision and time-based senor ML intended to run off power-sensitive MCU's, we have developed options for scooter providers to detect sidewalks in real-time.
